Hi, new to writing a post but love reading 'em.

After moving home, I'm upgrading my system. I've got the screen, Samsung LE46F86. I've got the receiver, Onkyo 605, and I've got a denon DVD 1940. I'm currently running my old Mission FS2AV speaker system with them but want to upgrade. I thought of the KEF 3005se's after reading many a good review here but the price means I may have to weight quite a while longer to save for them. I've recently acquired a REL 150E sub from my brother, whose new wife wasn't having any of it, and have been considering getting the B&W M1's advertised at £125 a time. I can probably get two now and the other three in a month or so but was wondering if they would be a good match with the REL? Or should I consider anything else. I would be limited to the smaller style speakers to keep my missus happy. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks

I haven't heard your Rel sub but I have heard the M1s and they would be a great choice - no reason at all why they won't sing with the Rel.

Thanks guys looks like I'm going down the M1 route, has anyone out there heard of any good prices for the M1's?

Also I was wondering, in the interim, would it be possible to ditch the sub from my Mission FS2AV package and start using the REL or could this cause damage to the Mission sats (bearing in mind they are connected to the sub via the umbilical)?

If they sats are connected to the Mission sub, you wouldn't be able to use the REL with them as there wouldn't be anywhere to plug them in as far as I'm aware...
Got all my B&W kit at Sevenoaks in Epsom who did a deal by providing all the cabling to hook them up free.
I'm just thinking, if you can visit a dealer with the sub to demo it with the M1s, this will be a good idea before you commit to purchase (or better, get a home demo). The only reason is, the REL works fine with my setup, but then the 685s are pretty good speakers on the bass front so the sub isn't having to make up all that much which wouldn't be the case with the M1s. Just a thought as I wouldn't want to recommend it without a test first to make sure it does actually work well!

Thanks Prof'

I was thinking that the sats could be wired directly to my Amp as they just seem to be daisy chained at present from the the amp via the sub. I don't now if they HAVE be wired into the Mission sub first cos maybe it does something to the signals
