Hi all,

Asked a while ago for amplifier advice, but I now know which turntable & speakers I will be using. Got around £150-200 left for an amplifier.
Have found a cheap arcam a65 plus, which i'm very tempted to try out. Was also looking at rotel sa-04, but they seem few and far between on ebay at the moment. Possibly a denon 520/720, both of which got 4/5 star review on whathifi.

Any ideas, is there anything potentially bad about the arcam? as I do have a nice offer for that one, and it apparently has a decent inbuilt phono stage.

One more thing, my rega rp1 has the tiniest tiniest bit of wobble. is this normal for a relatively cheap turntable? it's not noticeable unless I put my head to the floor and watch it for a few minutes, but it is very slightly there.

Thanks,

Sam

Thanks for the advice. Think the wobble is probably normal (it's hardly noticeable compared to youtube videos).

My list is down to the following now:

-Arcam a65 plus

-Onkyo 9030

-Pioneer A30 (can't find any reviews/much about this amp?)

-Denon 720ae (possibly the 520, it's quite cheap, but again no reviews.) - just a power difference as far as I know?
