I need some advice.

I have recently bought a Rega Planar 3, which I enjoy very much. For
now, it is connected to a Rotel 995 pre-amp, which has a built-in phono
stage. The thing is that as soon as the needle
touches the record, the bass drivers in my speakers start to move like
crazy. Tried two carts, AT95e and Ortofon Super OM10 on RB300, same thing. Is there anything to do, or is it just a Rega 'feature'?

Any suggestions welcome.

Having an early Planar 3, I can confirm that it's certainly not a feature,or even a "characteristic". The problem seems to point to a wiring fault? Can you check connections, cable routing, etc, for short circuits? It may even be a fault in the amp's phono stage. Trying another turntable would help, if possible.
