Rega planar 6 Marantz Model 50

Aloha all,
At home i’ve got a marantz model 50 and cd50 paired with with Spendor Classic 3/1 and i’m very happy with them. Now i’m looking for a good turntable and the rega planar 6 with nd7 caught my eye ( actually my wife her eye and who am i to argue😜) . Now i wonder has anyone combined the planar 6 with the model 50? I’m also open for other suggestions

There is reason to think they wouldn't be a good pairing, if that is what your wife wants...... 🙂

Plenty of quality turntables around for that sort of budget but as @RoA says visuals can be important in some cases.

There should not be any problem with the Model 50. But I would assume/strongly suggest you add an external phono stage to live up to the Planar 6. Phono stages in integrated amps are fine for turntables up to around 500 quid.

Rega Wall Shelf or a good Hifi Rack with Isolation for Best results with a Rega TT

Should read better than some fitted to integrated amps.
The one in the Marantz 50 is very good and you're going to have to spend a fair bit on an external one to better it.

However, I would agree that Rega turntables do need good isolation and a wall shelf is ideal.
Get your wife to look at the Pro-ject XA-B Acrylic for a better long term investment.
