Rega Mk 3 phono stage

Evening,
I have recently taken delivery of a new Rega Elex-R mk 4 amp. My older system did not have an phono card installed hence the off board stage. My question is: As the new integrated Elex has a good phono stage within, shall I connect my P3 to that and sell the Mk 3 phono stage? Will the quality be any different between the off board stage and the integrated phono card ?

Let us know how it goes. I’ve a feeling that I read that the same bits are included in the amp, but that may have been an earlier generation. Rega certainly know how to do phono stages!

Indeed, as others have said, you are in the enviable position of being able to try both for yourself in your own system.
Let us know your findings, I imagine there isn't going to be a huge difference, but who knows....
