Rega Fono Mini

Hi

I have decided to add a turntable to my system. This will probably be the Rega RP3. It will be connected to a Cyrus 8vs2 via a phono stage. Would the Fono mini be suitable for this or should I be looking at something further up the price range?

If you can stretch to the Fono, this will get more from the RP3, and will do a better job if you happen to upgrade it at some point.

I took it that you were asking if you needed better than the Fono mini?

Having not said what cartridge you are using makes that impossible to answer. My dealer said my Fono mini was more than good enough for most cartridges up to around £250 to £300. Why don't you ask the suplying dealer?

For the Elys which is often ftted as a package it will be fine. I've been well pleased with mine.

FWIW, I home demo'd the Rega Fono Mini and a Cambridge 640P; went for the latter cos it sounded more open.
