Rega DAC problem

Hi - I am trying to connect my cable TV box to my Rega DAC using the digital audio output into the DAC. There is no sound coming through and the input lock indicator isn't even lighting up. I've checked that all cables work and that all the correct inputs are selected etc.

The cable TV box is set to stereo.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Sometimes you have to tell the TV to send the signal by digital out. it doesnt always do it.

Do you have another device with a digital out? like a sky box? plug it into that and try. if it works, you need to find the setting on yout tv- probably in an advance menu. I had to do this with my panasonic.

You have to set the Cable box or/and the Tv to output the sound signal digitaly and analog, or just Digital output!
