How do I do this.

My TV has the following

AV1 Scart ( arrow going into circle )

AV2 Scart ( arrow going into circle)

Component

VCR

Has 2 scarts -

AV1 ( TV)

AV2 (Decoder)

the HD camera connects via component to the TV. How do I record the image that comes on the TV to record onto the DVD Recorder.

Assuming the HD camera is component at both ends you can get component to scart connector so you can plug the camera straight into the recorder.

Regards...

i know that some sony and panasonic tvs allow you to choose what is output on scart2 in the set up menus, other tvs default to sending the screen image

in the menus, see if you can select the output on scart 2, if you don't have this facility, you'll have to hope the default applies

you would plug the camcorder into the telly and select the input so that you can see the camera's output on the screen. connect the recorder to scart 2 on the telly going into scart 1 on the recorder.

select AV1 or scart 1 on the recorder, press record then press play on the camera

Yes true as do some Toshiba.

Yeah I checked and I can change the signal of the TV AV2 but It can only pickup scart signals it cannot be changed to the component. So I'm going to get a component to scart converter and use that.
