Recommendations please !!!

Ive just found out that after paying £550 and waiting 6 weeks for my Yamaha DSP-AX863se its very unlikely that i am going to get it, as ive been told that Yamaha are now discontinuing this model. Can anyone recommend a model of a similar spec and cost ?

Hi Why don't you buy it from a different shop ie hificonfidential £590.00 and in stock there problem solved

That is good. It was £1400 when it came out. The place I bought my MT-30 up at Tottenham Court Rd were trying to sell me one for £1100, but I plumped for the 875 in the end, and pocketed the extra £100.

I too wanted to buy this receiver. Was told it would take at least 8 weeks to get hold of one (if they could).

I was recommended by my hi-fi specialist to go for a Pioneer VSX-1018AH instead. The reviews I've read on this though have been pretty luke warm. How does it compare to other Pioneer amps of a similar price - anyone know ?
