Does anyone know if I can connect a Denon2808 to a Marantz PM11S1 stereo amp to drive the front speakers in a surround sound set up?

yeah the denon has pre-outs so you can connect it to a stereo amp to drive the fronts

Yes. Connect the both with rca cables from the Denon's front left and right pre outs to a spare input on the Marantz. There has been loads about this on the forum - have a search to get the in depth - I've done it a few times and I don't want to bore people again.
