New Samsung phones and tablets do not seem to allow a dongle+3.5mm jack headphones, I had to buy a Samsung usbc wired head phone. Not ideal. Is it because usb c is digital and 3.5mm is analogue? Any thoughts or views?

Can we be clear on a headline detail? That 3.5mm jack that we all miss on our phones is generally an output not an input. I know some ttrs can do both but it confuses me to hear it described as an input.
