I am completely gutted after I read the news yesterday. I was a huge fan of The Jam. He was a fantastic drummer who was the spine of The Jam sound - and he was a local lad.

What a great band, Rick Buckler will be missed.
I must catch up with that. The first life remembered on this week's Last Word:
BBC Sounds, Radio 4 today, 16:00.
No, Bruce recently had an operation on his legs. He's subsequently revealed he's retiring from music, after the latest tour of 'From The Jam'.I must catch up with that.
I went to junior school with Bruce Foxton, and there was even a school snap of us in the same football team in my last year before ‘seniors’.
He occasionally popped into Aerco Records in Woking when I was in the Hifi shop, looking suitably rocky with bright coloured leather boots and jacket. I read in some of Rick’s obituaries that Bruce might not be in great health either. 🙁
Oh, good, so he’s had an op but recovering? That’s a relief. No, Bruce recently had an operation on his legs. He's subsequently revealed he's retiring from music, after the latest tour of 'From The Jam'.
