quiet sound on hd box and picture problem

hi i have a Panasonic plasma tv px60b 37" connected to sky hd box with a quality hdmi cable from what hifi mag when i subscribed.

Problem is sound is low compared to old sky dig box about 10 years old.

Is there any way of boosting it like you could on old box?

Also when watching hd sky movies greens have purple haze to them in back ground.

Is this normal?

Any help would be great.

Thought I'd reply because nobody had, though I'm not going to be much help.

There's no way I know of to boost the volume.

You could try re-booting it by taking out the power lead for 10 seconds or so (when it's in stand by mode), then re-connecting

Are you connected directly to the tv, or via an av receiver?

As for the colour problem, sounds like it could be the tv or hdmi lead rather than the sky box.

Have you tried a different hdmi lead?
