Quick question on onkyo 905

When playing blu ray with hd sound and then turning on pure audio, is the amp still outputting the hd sound track but with all other uneccessary cirtuitry turned off?

Nice one chris. To me it sounds fuller, but i think some of the detail is lost. Pretty much the same if you listen to stereo with music and then switch to pure audio.

Yep. Got Band Of Brothers BD on right now, switched to Pure Audio and then when I press the display button, it still says DTS HD Master audio.

As BC said your still getting the full HD audio but with room eq ect bypassed

I think I prefer it with the EQing & processing doing their bit.
