Thanks for your help

Hello,

The merits of all those settings depends on what you are watching, as a rule i only use some of them for SD (TV) and turn them all off for watching DVD's and Bluray. I'm not sure if your menu's are the same as mine (i have a 40EX503) so can't go through my settings but if you have the 'scene' button on your remote you should look at using that to set up your picture settings, use 'cinema' for movies (dvd and bluray) and turn all the processing off for this. Then for TV use the standard scene and experiment with what has the best effect on your picture, i have NR set to low, MPEG NR to low and all others off except motionflow which i don't beleive you have on your TV?

Hope that helps.

great , thanks for your reply , will have sort out tonight , what settings do you use for your PS3 ? same settings as dvd & blu ray ?

Hi,

Here are my PS3 settings and yes they are different from the others so i use the 'Game' scene setting as this turns off all the processing as standard to limit the ammount of lag you may get, all the modes (NR, MPEG etc) are greyed out and you can't activate them again whilst in 'game' mode. Below is the rest of my settings for the PS3 in game mode, hope it helps but remember these are just my preference.

backlight - 3 (2 in low light)

contrast - 86

brightness - 51

colour - 67

hue - 0

colour temp - neutral

sharpness - 5

Advanced Settings = everything set to off plus Gamma set to -1.

White balance unchanged.
