Question for Clare / Andrew or Andy Re Panasonic DMR-EX78 HDD Recorder

Hi Guys, Can you comment on this new Model, Have you had a look at it at all and if so how do you rate it?Is it superior to the Panny EX77 and is it on a Par with Sony"s 970.? Has it got an HD CAPABLE Tuner B.Y.W. Many Thanks Once Again.

Apart from a brief demo at the launch - see here - we haven't seen the new Panasonic DVD recorders yet. Specs look good, but there's no HD tuner (though there is 1080p upscaling).

We should be getting models very shortly....

Yeh cheers Clare I think it best to wait until you guys do your stuff and make my decision then. Thats been my pathway to satisfaction on all my 5 star purchases, luckily I have been able to test run them at home before parting with the cash.B.T.W. I have been a with your mag for must be 20 odd years even before the two mags became one. Have just renewed my Sub for another two years[ exciting years I hope] keep up the good work. regards mocha
