Question about sub inputs.

Hi there guys,

My onkyo has 2 sub preouts, which according to the manual both give out the same signal. As my sub has 2 inputs (L + R), am i right in assuming that buying another sub cable to connect the second pre-out to the remaining input would have absolutely no input on the sound coming out?

Not sure if this helps, but:

My sub (which also has 2 inputs) is connected to the main sub output on my Onkyo by a normal phono interconnect, combined into one phono plug via a 2-way phono splitter.

The 2 sub pre-outs are provided in case you want to run two subs. ÿAs you surmise, you only need to use one of them.
