Question about Blu-ray sound............

Hello everybody

Is the sound from most blu-ray films 24bit?

If so is there a blu-ray player out there where i can connect to my DAC and get 2 channel 24 bit sound?

At the moment, i have it connect via optical, but I'm fairly sure that it cuts the sound quality down to 16 bit 44k.

I have a Sony S760 and recently found the setting to change the Optical output to 96/24.

Although my Yamaha amp is not DTS-HD ready, it is 7.1 and does support 96/24. I'm yet to see whether this sounds any better but it does at least work.
