Quad 9AS and Q Acoustics BT3

Anyone heard either of these yet?

Both look like really interesting products, although it seems the Quads are proper actives whereas the Qs are powered speakers.

Have to say I like the concept, especially at these prices. Both have an analogue input to which a phono stage could be connected, and both have digital inputs for a CD player/streamer/TV. Both compact, with the same size drive units, and both should offer good quality sound, though I would imagine the Quads are that bit better due to the active design.

Interested in any thoughts...

I am booked in for a demo in late January - early February when the IAG/Quad rep has been asked to bring a pair with him by my dealer.

'On paper' everything about them is right (including price). They only have to sound great and be available (to order) in the gloss ruby finish.

Ideally I need to be able to have them at home for a day or two before ordering. I hope that can happen.
