Hi,
I am looking to add a new subwoofer to my system... I have a Roksan Kandy K2 integrated amplifier and a pair of LS50's in a medium sized room.
I am in Ireland and the BK delivery situation (you need to pay VAT on arrival) seems a bit of a faff so I am trying to source locally. Thanks to a previous thread, I am zeroing in on Rel T5x / SVS SB1000 pro with the SVS SB1000 pro favourite. This can be had from RS in Belfast for 749 euros.
However, they also have the Q acoustics QB12 for 399 euros (previously a lot more) which could be a steal or the Fyne Audio F3-12 for a similar price. Has anyone actually heard these subs? Do they compare to the SVS or is it in a different class?
I understand that received wisdom is to go with Sub specialists but I just want to check that Q Acoustics haven't accidentally made a brilliant sub Mistakes happen, you know.
* Audition is unlikely as I am in Dublin and RS are in Belfast
