Q Acoustics 2000 pack - still the best - good for music?

I am considering getting a Q acoustics 2000 cinema pack for my living room, but was wondering whether or not they are the best at their price level still, and are they able to reproduce music with good levels of enjoyment?

Hi Jakja 83, according to most here at What Hifi forums they are the best at there price point for cinema sound, look fantastic ( especially on there stands that are quite cheap to buy ) and are probably better than smaller satellites for music, however , nothing quite like having a demo to compare for yourself.

I think it's a fine system. I don't use the Q Acoustics sub, personally.

If you're thinking of 2 channel music, i would recommend using the 2020s at the front left and right instead of the standard 2010s that come as part of the package. Or even floorstanders if you have the space / like the look.

Also, depends on the price the package is currently going for, especially as there may well be a few deals around at this time of year for slightly "better" packages.

Being an ex user of Q Acoustics (1000 series), I'd agree with Jammoe.....
