So I have the R3meta, never had the R3 non meta, or the R300 that you purchased. But I did have the LS50 Meta which I wanted and desired for years. I upgraded my amp to the Peachtree Carina 150 and I will say the LS50 just did not have enough for me. They were absolutely beautiful and solid sounding, so I upgraded to the the R3Meta and I was there. Just Full., and perfect. Yes, analytical as you would except from Kef but also full and sound stage solid. Love them Love them. Step up to Metas you will not regret it. I am driving them with the Peachtree Carina 150

I think he was saying the R3 Meta was a big improvement over his former LS50 Meta
Yes he certainly said that - where he went from Meta to Meta in different models.

But I just wondered about the generalised 'step up' to Meta.....whether the Meta change alone would actually make that much difference in the same model 🤔

By all accounts it does.
