ps3 full hd fatal error.........

hello all me again...has anybod locked their ps3 on full hd my mistake? kids were playing mine and a screen pops up hd cable conectected then offered full spec but my hitachi pd5200 only likes 1080i. before i could say NO they accepted it now its locked on full hd and cannot get the dashboard but i count 5 clicks and then x and i can get the game up because there only 720p or 1080i.

a hd cable is connected from ps3 to an onk606 and goes to screen by dvi so i can hear the clicks when i press controller. have tried the online manual but the clicks and the settings dont match up.

have bought a ps3 scart lead but the machine will not drop to native settings for the lesser settings have also tried my other tv but nope.

maybe time full full hd but still waiting for 46w4000 to come down in price or wait for 46w4500?

might go to comet and see if they let me plug ps3 into a full hd display.thanx

You could do a master reset which will take it back to factory settings.

I believe you have to hold the power switch down for five seconds.

If that doesn't work, turn it off using the switch on the rear, hold the power button down and switch on at the rear again.
