Position of speakers

I have purchased the LG BH4030s which has small speakers and I was wondering where the best position is for the front two speakers? As you can see in the picture below, the TV sits in an alcove, the yellow boxes in the picture is where I think they might go. I have read that if the speakers are close to the TV it can cause interference, would this happen here?

You don't seem to have much choice with the position of your speakers either side of the tv in the alcove. Try fixing them before you paper the walls I doubt they will interfere the tv

I have a bay window too and I know it would be difficult to place the tv elsewhere without loosing some space for seating.

Might do that thanks! I would like to drop them both lower, either side of the TV, but that means the left speaker will be sticking out a bit too much next to the curtain.
