Wouldn't read too much into it.

I'm only reading what the big man says. It was timing out of the blue.

Under the circumstances, it's a shame that it appeared in the very same month as Stephen's departure for the very same manufacturer.

It's in the timing. Stephen wrote his Dragonfly review in December 2013 but the job offer, out of the blue, from AudioQuest, was in mid-January 2014. (Dates corrected thanks to Peter Noerbaeck's eagle eyes.)

Running a 'high end' cable company is almost as good as having a money tree.

hmm...there's a thought - smallish outlay, huge profits...

You need a story though, never forget that........... :type:

I suggest Grimm and Grimm, well known cable marketing consultants.

Here is a Double Blind Test done by a group of Spanish audiophiles (38 people) which showed that a $700 and $12,000 system sounded the same played through the same speakers.

Just shows the power of subconscious bias when it comes to people conducting their own 'tests' at home knowing when they are listening to the system with the expensive cable attached and when it's the cheap cables attached.

Although some would like us to forget, lets just remember the fiasco called Pear Cables, Positive Feedback Online and 1 Million Dollar James Randi Challenge.

Gizmodo: $7,250 Speaker Cables Turn You Into a Dancin' Fool

If you thought Monster Cable was bad with its $80 HDMI cables, check out these Pear Anjou Speaker Cables, ringing up the cash register at an astonishing $7,250 for a couple of 12-footers. The most entertaining aspect of this sucker bait is the way the company got some gullible snob to gush about how he thinks he can actually hear a difference between these and the other presumably high-end wiring he's auditioned:

"... way better than anything I have heard...Simply put these are very danceable cables. Music playing through them results in the proverbial foot-tapping scene with the need or desire to get up and move. Great swing and pace—these cables smack that right on the nose big time." - Dave Clark, PF

********. Total ********. Danceable? Dance, fool, dance.
