Plugs don't appear to fit Amp

First off, I'm a newbie so please forgive my ignorance. I have bought Chord C-Screen X Speaker Cable terminated with Chord Ohmic Plugs... But they don't seem to fully insert into my NAD D 3020 V2 Amp (see pic), surely this can't be right? 😳

Did you remove the inserts?

There were plastic caps covering the holes (so that was my first hurdle negotiated) I then saw YouTube footage of someone removing inserts and it didn't look like I had that option. There doesn't appear to be anything there to take out.

As you've found, some terminals are not deep enough to take the full length of some plugs.
Not an ideal situation.
(I actually filled the (smaller) gap with sleeving on my brothers Denon DAB-41 as I couldn't be bothered to fit shorter plugs - but that was just me being fussy).
Shorter plugs not really an option for you unfortunately, but not the end of the world.

I bought a new amp recently and thought I had the same issue. Over Christmas I took it round to my parents and my Dads banana plugs went in all the way. When I got it home mine also then did the same. Perhaps part of the plug is catching on something.

Loosen the terminals first, insert the plugs and then tighten the terminals. I've got Chord Clearway X and Audioquest rocket 11 (can't make up my mind which I like better) and both fit fine using this method.
