Plinius 9100 v Audio Analogue Maestro Settanta v Leema Tucana

JoelSim:All 2nd hand/ex demo I'm afraid on very very good deals so I could always sell on if I didn't like.

If you don't like it means you haven't demo'd anything. As Clare said, you'd be a mug to buy on a whim, but when I listened to the Leema Pulse it blew me away. Can't comment on the others unfortunately.

if i was going to blind buy, out of that lot i would get the tucana. i think that by the time it reaches this country, plinius is very expensive. at least with leema, you aren't paying import duty or being stiffed on the currency conversion.

Are you totally set on integrated? You could buy a superb monoblock/pre combo at that price second hand.

PP we never did compare notes on the Leema - fwiw I totally agree - amazing sound thats completely natural and wonderfully lively. I'd love to hear the tucana.

I had the Tucana and loved it. Upgraded to the Pyxis and Hydra combination, which I won't be changing for a very long time.

The Plinius is going to be £1100 2nd hand, or the Tucana I reckon I could get down to £1,300 never used with 5 year warranty, but model 1 rather than II.

Leema assured me that there wasn't a huge amount of difference between the Tucana I & II (before they knew that I was thinking about the Pyxis & Hydra). That's a great price with that warranty. I got £1600 for mine.

JoelSim:Which one would you go for with my kit to replace my Arcams?

There's one on ebay....

There is, and it's being watched.

Actually when I pressed the button no alcohol had passed my lips.

I'm negotiating with a dealer for one too, half price so far but seeing how low they will go.

ear:Voododoctor, much better the separates?

Yes but then you'd hope so for the price! Very revealing, precise timing and exciting delivery. Rather embarrassingly I'm sure that the neighbours have caught me dancing around the room with it on.
