I've just arrange to purchase some Audica cs1 speakers. They will be hooked up to my Denon AVR-2310. I'm a little worried now though as i read a thread on another well known site and someone was talking about the ohms should match for reciever and speaker.

The Audica's run at 4ohms acording to the site. Can someone please tell me if i'll have any problems running them through the Denon

Many Thanks

most modern receivers will run speakers of 4 ohms to 16 ohms without a problem. although i dont know your receiver personally, look in the manual, my sony has an option to select speaker impedance in the set up menus.

I've checked the manual that comes with my reciever, and it advises to use speakers between 6 and 16 ohms.

i just need to know if i risk doing damage to either the amp or the speakers as depending what thread you read through google on the subject there are differing opinions, however i am concerned regarding the one's that completly advise against it.
