I am honing on on a 5.1 system based on Proac surround speakers. I have the ProAc D15s as FrontL and FrontR driven by an Arcam A32. I am looking to add Proac Response Satellites and a Response Centre. My thinking is to get the Denon 2310 to drive the sorrounds and to run the pre-outs to the A32 to let it continue driving the L & R.
Am I making a mistake here? Is the Denon 'good' enough for the ProAcs? I don't really want to spend that much more but would be prepared to in order to avoid a complete mismatch.
Any thoughts are appreciated!

Are there any rules that suggest a ratio of costs of speakers versus cost of AV amp? Should I spend the same on the amp as I would on speakers?

I don't see any reason why the Denon AVR-2310 would not be able to do this job splendidly!

No doubt the Proac's will sound great, but will be far from their best driven by the AVR2310. I'm using a Yamaha DSP-Z7 with my Proac's, whilst the Z7 drives them with ease, I'm under no illusion that they could sound far better. However, I would say you're right in thinking that you need to keep an all Proac front row, I don't think it's so necessary with the rears unless you'll be using them for surround music.
