I have a onkyo 875 reciever and have just puchased a playstation3 now the question i would like answering is when will it be updated to be able to output the latest audio formats and what setting do i apply to the playstation. At the moment i have got everything crossed in the sound settings is this correct.

I have only got one blu ray disc at this time fantastic 4 which has dts hd all the reciever is showing is multichannel pcm is this correct at present before an update.

Yes, you're getting the correct audio feed at the moment. The firmware upgrade to give DTS-HD output via HDMI is rumoured to be coming before the end of the year, AFAIK - best bet is to keep checking the PlayStation 3 website for upgrades.
