Playing PS3 3D game on Panasonic 3Dtv

HI. Ive connected my PS3 to my 50VT20 3dtv via 1.4 Hdmi lead but when attempting to play GT5 I cannot get it to play in 3d. My PS3 has the latest software and is all set up in the menu to recognise the 3dtv. The game does not give you any option to play in 3d and the TV does not switch automatically like when playing blu-ray 3d on my Panny 300 player. Is it me missing something obvious or do I have to do anything else during set up. Can anybody throw any light on this?

yes it is u missing something obvious

On the start screen select options.

Move down to hardware, and then scroll right until u get to 3DTV options, select it and set the options - which are basically on/off and how much parallax effect u want.
