Bought a Panasonic TH-37PX80B 37" Widescreen HD Ready Plasma TV with Freeview
last year (coming up for year warranty) and ever since had it been a problem
where when I turn it on there is often a load of interference on the screen,
real horrible squeaky stuff. What I have found is if I go to back of tv and
twist the arial in slightly it fixes the problem 100% until the next off and
on. I also bought a panansonic hard disk recorder at same time so aerial
comes from wall into hard disk recorder and then into tv - twisting the
tv end (at back of tv) of the cable from the hard disk box fixes it everytime.
This connection was a bit cheap so I bought a super expensive super shielded
cable for this bit but unfortunately made no difference. Any ideas what is
causing this ?
I am coming up to end of year warranty, purchased through amazon and can't really
afford to take time off to get it collected and dropped off again but this
problem is quite annoying.
Any suggestions welcome. The cable from the wall to hard disk recorder is a bit cheap
and close to power cable but don't really want to fork out for a new one of these
with no confidence of a fix as it is not twisting this cable that fixes the problem.
All the connections are clean and tight.
Many thanks
