Pioneer VSX-922 UE22 Error - worth fixing?

I've got quite an old Pioneer VSX-922 AV receiver. It developed a UE22 error. Factory reset fixed it for a day, but then it came back and now there is no sound at all.

Is this worth getting serviced as it's so old? If so could anyone recommend somewhere I might look to get it repaired.

A UE22 code indicates a failed software update.

If you haven’t tried to update the firmware in the receiver then perhaps the wrong buttons have been operated on the remote control which placed the receiver in the update “mode”. Try to get it out of update mode and see if that helps.

If this doesn't work, then maybe the chip has failed.
