Pioneer SC-LX82 HDMI passthrough

Anybody managed it? i have trawled the net and upgraded the firmware which was supossed to allow it but i still cant manage it, if i turn the amp off the hdmi signal is switched off too, doing me bleeding head in. |(

I'm using an old panny pv500 viera so am not using any kuro link.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Where did you get the firmware from out of interest? From what I can see the last official firmware for the LX-82 was released in 2009. Was it via a dealer?
