Hi

Need some help was just about to purchase a pioneer sc lx-82 when spoke to my local dealer was told now no-longer available as new lx-83 about to be launched. I can get the lx-82 for a bargin at £1300 ish or would i be better to wait for new lx-83. I currently have pioneer bdp-lxo8 to match the amp and A/E agis evo speaker package. Any help or advice much appreciated.

cheers

See our special blog with full details of Pioneer's 2010 AV range, plus details of the SC-LX83 in our recent News story. Depends whether you want to be futureproofed by having an AV receiver that's 3D-ready. If not, the SC-LX82 at that price sounds like a good deal.

I bought the SC-LX82 for £1400 and i love it also i,m not into this 3D stuff so saving over £500 made me more than happy, so really it depend's if you really want 3D capability or not also it will probably sell for around the £1900 - £2000 mark. PS I can testify that the SC-LX82 is best receiver that i have ever owned and trust me i have denon's, onkyo's and even a yamaha in the past but nothing comes close to the LX82.
