Pioneer lc-58 set up.

Hi, need help in setting up my new amp. My promblem is it is only working in stereo so I guess I have wired it incorrectly. I have a hdmi cable coming out of my Sky hd box and into an hdmi spittler box (twin). From here I have two hdmi cables running from it, one directly to hdmi 1 on the tv and the second one going to the Pioneer SC- LX 58, using the Sat port and then onto hdmi 2 on the tv. Once I play from Sky movies, even though I press auto it stills reverts back to stereo. Thanks in advance.

Best to plug everything into the 58 (And remove the splitter) and use this as an HDMI switcher, with just the one cable going to the TV from the 58. (You can switch between HDMI inputs without having the 58 switched on if you just want to use the TV)

Also make sure your Sky Box is set to output Dolby Digital over HDMI. (NOTE: Some channels only output stereo not surround)
