Has anyone found a site (and ordered) this blu-ray player yet? I'm looking to order one for my 4280XD and have only found it at a couple of sites - which are unfortunately out of stock... www.hispek.com are offering for 509.99 some £80 cheaper than most other sites! Anyone had experiences with this retailer?

Hi Spek is an established company (22 years old) and an authorised dealer for a lot of big brands (including Pioneer), so you've no worries on that score.

FYI, we've just got the Pioneer BDP-LX71 Blu-ray player in for test, so we're obviously getting closer to the player being in the shops.

I have one of these on order based on the performance of the previous model (LX70a). Any chance you can give us an indication as to whether the new one is any good? Please please, pretty please!!!

I honestly haven't seen it in action yet - it only arrived late last week. We'll be testing it alongside the new Panasonic DMP-BD55 - i'd expect it to be a good scrap between those two at the £400-£600 price point.

Ive been waiting for ages to get one..but i think i'll hang on and see wether the the denon 2500 bluray transport comes out on top and wether the denon justifies the few extra hundred quid price tag. My tvs a new pioneer 5090 and im currently running blurays through a ps3 and onkyo 905 amp. The picture looks good to me and if either of these players improves it by a lot..then happy days! out of curiosity, anyone got a denon 2500 transport and a ps3? whats the diffrence like in the picture quality??

Does anyone know whether you can get blu-ray players in multi-region as all my blu-ray discs so far have been US iimports which I have watched on my sony vaio laptop which is region A.
