Pioneer after care?

Hello there,

So after deciding to go plasma instead of LCD I opt for the best and source a supplier for a PDXPL 5090 only to read today about their announcement to quit tv's (I know I need to get out more!). So if I do buy what happens if in future the set malfunctions? Will there be any maintenance/repair options post 2010? Grateful for your observations. Ta
