I have this set up , but i cant get it set up correctly, stylus weight etc. I need someone near TF10 who can do this for me. I believe the stylus (not the cartridge !) may need replacing. Can anyone point me in the right direction please. esp as record store days looms ........

Could be a very nice set-up. If you believe cartridge is on the way out get a new cartridge first as that tonearm / deck deserves better.
Any hifi dealers near you?
But cartridge from them and I am sure they would set it up for you.

None that reply to my "can you help me get this set up emails" . Im going to just get the new stylus TBH, but still need the weight, antiskate , heybrook alignment etc doing for me. It North Shropshire BTW

Ortofon Stylus 510 for Cartridge ( 510 Mk II, 510, 510 P) are about 70quid
Very old design and Will be several decades old now & needs replacing
Also cartridge suspension ages/wears out/fails after a few decades

Service if lying in storage or un-used for a while - New Styli , New Belt , New bearing oil

Pink Triangle LPT Roksan Tabriz ZI still a very nice TT/Arm but will benefit from a Better cartridge
LPT/Tabriz in good confdition will be worth £1,000+ these days a still a great performer

Its been fully serviced and done up by charles at tru point audio, my "spare" reag plana 3 has been replaced by it, but a little to late i realised it was set WAY to heavy, im upgrading the cartridge but everyone i approach goes "we don't know how to set that up" please buy our new xxxx quite depressing i just need a decent retailer who knows how to put a damn cartridge on without insisting i need to get a new turntable

Cartridge weight balances or scales are cheap to buy and plenty of videos online to help.

If it was set up by Charles how do you know it's way too heavy, as a matter of interest?

it was repaired by charles and not set up by him, the stylus was flat against the LP like the needle was not visible
I see, as you say either too much weight or the cartridge suspension has collapsed. Does the stylus pop back to the correct position when you lift the tonearm?
If simply too heavy, and if I recall correctly, there is a screw on top of the counterweight which when loosened will allow you to slide the counterweight further out away from the cartridge.
You will however need some sort of scales to set the correct tracking weight.
It's slightly different to one I had as that was a plain Tabriz.
To be honest it's not the easiest tonearm in the world to setup.

yup the counterweight is a git , thats why i want someone whos done more than one in the last year to do it for me, im very time poor so buying stylus scales , finding the correct set up, checking the cartridge etc is not a thing i can do ATM

Update , im going to buy a new cartridge and take the turntable to the shop and get it fitted , so next thing is i have a gorgeous warm ortofon 510Mk2 budget £250 (pushable) tempted by the Audio-Technica VM95SH (Shibata) wwwdotaudio-technicadotcom/en-gb/at-vm95sh
