hi all,
i've found an P37X10 at a very reasonable price and i must quickly decide whether to buy it, or to wait for an X20 plasma models from panasonic.

however, i am really concerned about phosphor trails. i have watched a video clip that shows this tv "in action"; there was some movie with fast-panning scenes, and i could clearly see phosphor trails. so, does it mean that i will see them when i watch this tv in "real life", or simply everyone must see phosphor trails when watching tv through "eye of a camera"?

Ive just bought the panasonic G15.

Although Blu-Rays such as Wall-E look superb, playing games like call of duty and assassins creed2 just give me a headache. Phosphor trails are all I can see when I turn/look around. After seeing this and then inviting a mate round to confirm I have decided to send it back and get an LCD. Ive had no problems gaming on my 4/5 year old 32" sony wega lcd.

You can google the trails too. check out the ** website for full rundown/comedown!

What a bummer.

this happened when playing in game mode?

and i wouldn't really play games, just TV/movies. have you seen trails in fast panning movie scenes (sin city is the best movie to expose trails)?

Some people are more susceptible to phosphor trails than others, I have 3 plasma sets and I nor anyone in my house has any issues regarding trails which includes gaming. The same goes for diferant makes/models with some being bigger offenders than others but it is usually during gaming sessions that people who do see the trail effect tend to notice it (hence 90% of youtube vids shownig game fotage)

My advice is go and view the Plasma in action and see if this is a issue for you.

Some of the videos that show phosphor trails are exaggerated in order to show what the effect looks like - you may be in the majority that can't see them on an actual plasma screen.

As D.J. Krime says, you need to see if this is actually an issue for you.

Well, that's it. I've tried, I really have...
I took delivery of a V10 plasma on Friday morning. The phosphur trails of yellow and blue are rendering 80% of my viewing completely headache inducing. Video games are truly horrific.

It looks like my eyes are not plasma compatible.
Back to the LCD world of grey blacks and motion blur. :(

That's bad news, but the best LCDs now have really good black levels (if not quite as good as the best plasmas?), and minimal blur ... and no phosphor trails!
