Hi! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their music!
I would like to hear your opinions and suggestions, please.

I currently have this setup:
Recently acquired Rega Planar 6
Ortoton 2m Bronze
Cambridge Audio Alva Solo Phono Preamp
Cambridge Audio CXA61
KEF R3 speakers and its subwoofer
Fairly good cables to hook them all

I would like to upgrade my phono stage to more out of the whole chain. I have 1000euros available to spend.
I upgraded my Pioneer PLX1000 to a Rega P6 a week ago and am doing my research to upgrade the phono stage now.
Later, when my bronze wears out, I will probably get a 2M Black or a Rega Exact 2 MM but my bronze still has many hours available in it.
Im not ruling out trying MC cartridges but I will not be able to go to further up the road due to higher prices.

I thought about these options>
Rega Aria (I thought maybe it has a good synergy with the P6, both regas)
Lehmann Black Cube SEII (the guy at the store said it was a good step up)
Musical Fidelity MX VYNL (good review on What Hifi)

They are all around 1000.

Any ideas? opinions? suggestions?

Thank you for any tips I can get form you!

thans Rev! I like that path. I can settle by now with my new P6 and enjoy the improvements so far. I will consider that option!
Have a great day mate!
cartridge will bring you the biggest improvement & it’s the cheapest thing to change.

fwiw, I really like the exact- it’s chilled & detailed. I’d suggest putting the AT VM95L on your list, too. With the 2M that will give you a range of different sounds to explore & pick which one works for you.

As you've had the P6 a short time, give it some time before looking at upgrading any other component.

Thank you very much for replying!
I definitely will give the P6 some months before upgrading.
Meanwhile, I will keep reading about the mentioned preamps since I can't audition them where I live.
Thank you!
where are you based? Graham Slee have a loaner programme where you can try their products for the cost of postage. (Currently operating in EU, US, Canada & Australia I think.)
