philips no where to be seen ?

This is interesting: I very was recently in France and saw Philips high-end models in some pretty big French retailers, like FNAC (operate in Belgium too) and Saturn. Now I don't know whether there was a stock issue but being in Saturn, I wondered where in blazes would you pick up a 42PES001 (Yep, the "Essence", model before the 9664 but less than 11 months out, winner in May) for, read and weep, no more than 999 Euros ????!!!! When this was a winner in May, the quoted RRP was 1800 - sterling that is. I think some of you folks might earn some money on a trip to France........
