HI everyone I have just purchased a philips lcd again and I must say how good it is.Choosing a tv these days is abit hit and miss.I wanted a tv to be geat for Bluray , PS3 and Sky HD.This tv came from Tec7 at House of Fraser with 5yr warranty all for £989.99.

Set up so easy,pictures and sound worthy of cost.Actually sound is the best i've heard from a flat screen tv (room3.5m x 3.5m).

My other philips tv a 42plf9603 has a great picture but falls flat when it comes to online gaming,however this new philips has improved my gaming on cod4 and cod5.No more getting shot at with killcam and finding lag from tv was bad! Killcam shows action just as it happens.

Just watched Quantum of Solace again on ps3 bluray and wow what at piture so much detail in the panning movements and car chases.

Hope you all get my drift how impressed with this philips set i am. go buy!!

What hifi hope u review this in the up and coming 37" test i would be interested if u find the tv to be as excellent as I do!

Glad you`re pleased with your tv. A 37" Philips has been on my wants list for quite awhile, one of the reasons being the superior sound for a flat screen.

imo i think the full hd of blu ray is better with more detail on this set even with it being only 37".the other set 9632 does have more jaggies on screen but then it is 18 months older!

I've been looking at the 37pfl9603 myself but have found it very hard to do a decent side by side comparison with the Pana V10 and Sony W5500. I've just been to House of Fraser in Lakeside and seen the W5500 and 9604 but only the Pana G10. To me the 9604 has the best SD picture even with the very poor reception they have and the sound is far superior. Does anyone think there will be a better price than the House of Fraser price this of Christmas?

Rickshaw i would not hesitate in buying this philips the details black levels and sound win it over for me let alone the quality of the build.i'm just reporting on what a great set this is and on these forums all u hear is the back press.just wanted to be different.
