after several weeks trying to source a half decent cassette deck, I’ve overpaid ( yeah, thanks hipsters) for a Denon DRM 595 cassette deck, so I can enjoy my old but precious cassettes. I probably paid double as it’s the Silver finish to match the rest of my stuff.

Bring on the hiss Can’t wait

I could probably have sent you a Sony TCK4A for free...but I may have recycled it.

that would have been very kind of you.

I’m still bidding on a technics twin deck that needs some work.

Think ive found a new addiction.

and looks really lovely. Matches all my other kit, and sounds surprisingly good.

Last year I borrowed a JVC deck from the father in law, an old late 70s early 80s thing, that did not sound good at all

this denon sounds brilliant in comparison. I’m well impressed.

Now to start hunting for bargains.

Keep your eye out for a Nakamichi....especially the Dragon.

Failing that, an Aiwa AD-F360 is a good machine.

cheers.

i'm really happy with the whole set-up.

and to think, thirty years ago, i had a sony stack system that gave me everything i've got now!

i don't miss the 5 disc cd carousel though, or the plastic! so much plastic!

I had one of those massive aiwa stereo's that had the 5 disc changer and the turntable, loved it at the time it went mad loud with no distortion which i liked and t-bass used to pee everyone off
