Panasonic Viera tx p42s10

Recently came across Panasonic Viera tx p42s10 for 399 with a 5 year warranty (using my girlfriends staff discount for working for same company). I know the tv is being phased out and originally only got a 4 star review although this was at a much higher price, but because of this price drop would this tv represent better value than a 5 star tv at a similar price? I will be using the tv mainly for sports and gaming. I also want a cheap tv now that I can upgrade in 18 months or so.

That is a fantastic price. I would take the plunge if it's still available, as most retailers still have the set at £599 or higher, and it is a very good looking set when running HD. SD isn't scaled brilliantly, but it's OK and for that money a real steal!

I did take the plunge and I am very impressed, I would agree with the issue with upscaling sd although as I never watch tv save for live sports which I usually watch in hd anyway, it's not really an issue for me.
