I'm about to get this model as ive always liked pannys . i can get it for just under £500 with a 5 year warranty . i know its got 1 less hdmi and no pc input compared to the x model , but is it worth the money ??? i'm due to buy one on wednesday
It is a really good TV but reflections might be a problem if the room you have it in is bright.
This is due to it not having an anti-reflection filter.
I have the 37X10 which does have the filter and reflections aren't a problem and it's a brill TV.
well i got hold of this tv yesterday... bought it from my local dealer in the morning for an afternoon delivery ..i'd gone 5 minutes down the road and had a phone call asking if i wanted in 30 mins lol
but got to say......wow well impressed . took a few hours gettign used to the size as i had an old 28in crt and being 7-8 ft away this seems huge. seeing myself in the glass sometimes is abit offputting but picture wise i love it . playign sprignsteen live in barcelona on dvd is a real treat.
havn't had to fiddle with colour settings at all . wil be another month before i can get my media centre up and runing via hdmi as tv doesnt have pc input. for £499 with a 5 year guarantee i'm more than happy with my purchase .
only slight annoyance is some some pixels on freeview .. not all the time, but thst only when getting to close when viewing. from a good distance its fine. it maybe only 720p but it will do me even when i get blu-ray . my hd dvds look good on it as well
ive not fiddled with it atm so settings are the same throught the day
picture menu
viewing mode normal
contrast, brightness, colour and sharpness all default for veiwing mode
colour balance - normal
colour management - on
p-nr - off
when i asked the tech guys installing it about whetehr id have to fiddle with settign they said no as new screens are fine they are... will need to look into that tho ... its seems ok to me as it is
Hmm, not sure I agree with that Talon1973. Most new sets do benefit from a bit of fine tuning (they're often artificially bright in default mode to stand out in the shops), so check out our How to get the best from your TV video for a few essential set-up tips.
