paid £1199 for my GT50 last year!

The picture has been superb!

Only issue was the PSU, it died but was replaced under warranty (thank god for the 6 year warranty)

Well pleased with it and Blu Ray looks fantastic on it!

No 'out of the box' issues so far. It's as quiet as a mouse and watching a sky movie panning shots are so smooth compared to my 2008 Panny Plasma (that's going to take some getting used to) you feel as though you're actually watching through the original camera if that makes sense. Can this be altered?

Keeping picture mode on normal but I have touched up contrast and touched down colour. Brightness and sharpness at half way and colour balance normal. Not too dissimilar to how I like it - not far off Cinema mode.

Next up blu ray viewing.

glad it's looking good out of the box. My 2nd gt50 looked good out of the box and then I watched the football, oh dear |(

changed some settings and waiting for this Sundays match.

What did you experience with football? Motion seems an issue on mine when I was watching Eng-Bra in itvhd the other day. Using the IFC feature seemed to help though.

The England-Brazil game was probably not a good test, the picture in general was bad that night, try again with a different game. I watch on Sky and the picture on football is great, I rarely watch in HD either because of how good it is!

any ball that leaves the ground generally caused motion judder, Like when watching the ball going over the crowd. This was apparent on bbchd and itvhd. The eng vs bra game was sp poor picture quality it was untrue. Currently this is not an issue now I have IFC turned off. Turn it on and it's a whole different ball game (no pun intended)

Ah good it wasn't just me then. I don't have sky sports so will have to wait until bbc or itv next show a field game. Out of interest Gel do you care for the IFC does it benefit you on any tv viewing?

I use normal factory settings, so the IFC is on max, and I find it works great, I have not once had any issues.

Do you use normal setting on blu rays too?

I can't seem to get used to the IFC setting either to min, mid or max. Although I admit motion is sharp on max but for me it introduces an unnatural experience to motion due to the pin sharp images the screen is trying to produce at all times. I guess I prefer (as I've always had) the ever so slight blur in motion shots on normal tv viewing.

I will try it again with sports that may work well.
