Exactly the same mate.

There is a PX8 but that is a down market version of the PX80.

no such thing as 42PX80.

42PX80B - British model.
42PX80E - European model
42PX80U - USA model

Can you explain in what way the PX8 is downmarket? Is the screen of the same quality? I was told it was. I know it has less HDMI inputs etc. but I have seen it for sale at a tempting £599 or £649 with a 5 yr warranty.

You can get the PX80B for £654 with a 5 year warranty if you go to Bolton.

The '8' models are entry-level designs with a lower-spec than the 80, 85 and 800 sets. Contrast levels, for example, aren't as good.
