Panasonic p37px80b or Sony 40w4000

I am thinking about buying a sony 40w4000 lcd tv but also own a panasonic 37px80b plasma.

I intend to put the panasonic in the frontroom and the sony in my bedroom which i will use with my freesat box and ps3.

Would it be a good purchase it buy the sony.

Should be good, watch out for the clouding/backlight bleed issues, though.

Hello Roxsy, i was in virtually the same boat as you a few weeks ago! After much deliberation i went for the Pana! I am very pleased indeed! Its a cracking set an the size is easily big enough at 37" ENJOY

I've just taken the plunge and bought the Panasonic PX80B. Like most reviewers say, setting it up is very simple and straightforward. It's almost searching out the channels before you plug it in!

I spent about 15 minutes tweaking the settings and hey presto, I've got a plasma beauty. The picture is superb. Films on DVD using HDMI are brilliant.

I know I'm preaching to the converted here, but this set is as good as Claire said it was.

And at a bargain price. So Panasonic are bringing out new models soon. This set will do me just fine for the next few years!

My advice is: go get one at a knock down price while you can!

This post makes me very happy as i decided to get the panny over the sony.

It arrives on tuesday and i just cant wait.

Not been made aware of any issues with W4000 sets.
