Hi all, first time posting but have been around viewing the forums for a little while.

I was hoping that someone could shed some light on a fault that has developed today on my Panasonic LCD TV (TX-26LXD70). Whilst my wife was changing channels on the remote, the screen suddenly went blank and now there is no picture or sound whatsoever. The TV no longer responds to the remote or the buttons on the top of the TV (although the led on the tv flashes to recognise a button press). Unplugging the TV from the mains and leaving it a while then re-plugging in gets the tv to power up (green light flashes for a while before going solid green) but no picture or sound. After a minute or two like this the red standby led flashes 13 times, goes blank for a few seconds and then flashes 13 times again. This goes on until I unplug from the wall again.

S*ds law that the Panasonic customer care line is only open Mon-Fri according to the recorded message! Fortunately I've got a little over a month left on the 12 month warranty. For info I bought from Play.com

Can anybody tell me what the 13 flashes means and whether this is a terminal fault?

Thanks in advance

Andrew

It's not looking good! A call to Panasonic is job one on Monday methinks.

Thanks
